Ironically enough, after doing all of that, I'm probably not going to be posting much this week ;D Time (and *space*... my table's covered with stuff) that would usually be spent taking pics is being sucked away to work on a Project that has to be done by next Monday, so yeh. Hopefully I'll have something to show on Monday ;) If not, I failed. :(

All right -- I'm finally going to undertake some of that journal-merging and filter-nonsense, soooo now's the time when I want to know what filters you all would like to be on, if any!

• Unfiltered (public) entries -- probably just stuff like (non-doll-related) memes and general announcements. (Although if people really HATE looking at memes.. say something, they could be filtered too ^^; )
  
  doll filter -- um, clearly, doll stuff ;D Photos, concept development and the like.
  
  
• fandom filter -- for if I decide to have a long ramble about a CD, a game, a book, or whatever.
  
  
• personal filter -- tales from true life! :o Travelogs, rants about work, stuff like that.

Please comment to tell me what filter(s) you'd like to be on! It won't hurt my feelings if you don't want to be on some of them ;) And if you'd like to flee entirely, feel free ;D After..I dunno, a month? I plan to delete all non-respondents from my flist, so... even if you're a lurker, if you want to stay, speak up ^^; In the meantime, I'm applying the filters to old entries, starting from the oldest first, so if things seem to disappear on ya, that's why XD;

Hmm, I did finish up my Lantern Festival pics, and hopefully I'll post them sooner than later. XD; But this meme looked interesting so it comes first. ;D

Hmm, couple of things...

Firstly, general sort of request: does anyone have good recommendations for commission-able faceup artists, specifically for fairly natural styles? :3 I'm gonna do a bit of browsing myself (once I'm somewhere where I can see pictures.. *grumble*), but if people have great testimonials and stuff, well. XD I'd like to have someone in mind if I manage to get a Migi-Ryu head, and hopefully sooner than later, I *do* intend to get Allistair's open-eyed head done up. ¬_¬

Secondly, I've been considering dropping my highly neglected personal journal, and going full-filters on this one. It will probably take me a while to get used to having to pick a security level every time I post something, but it will save me from cross-posting and having to continually log in and out. ¬_¬

Not asking for "plz put me on this filter" requests -- YET -- but I am pondering the scope of filtering all old entries....

Random #1: recently at Michael's, I've found a cool new line of "fashion add-ons" like iron-on patches, charms for jewelry and the like. Some of the patches are great for dolls as well -- I've got one for Mara I need to make a shirt for -- and a couple of the charms provided me with things I've been wanting for a while now. I had to restrain myself from buying a ridiculous amount of the damn things. The brand of these items? Hilary Duff. I shit you not. If I'm remembering correctly, I also have Barbie clothes from her design line, too. If you (or your dolls) like feminine soft-punk looks, it may be up your alley. :p

Random #2: I've complained before that a good chunk of Asian dolly websites are blocked from here -- but of course, I usually only view the English sites... It looks like, for several sites, I CAN view their Korean websites, just not the English ones. oO Like, I can see dollmore.com but not dollmore.net, and dreamofdoll.com is the same way -- I have to select the Korean site at the top page. Some are just all blocked regardless (like Luts and LeeKeworld.. sigh), but it's interesting that the companies host their different-language sites on entirely different servers.. oO

Hrm... you know, I was going to mumble and grumble about UPS yesterday -- I wish Volks would let us choose Priority, especially for small packages -- but I held back, since my stuff wasn't scheduled to arrive until today.

Well, it's today and no stuff. D:< The box came out for delivery today, but the tracking doesn't say that it was delivered or failed to deliver, and there's no "HAY WE MISSED U" notice anywhere (they're not supposed to do that anyway, we waive all signatures)... maybe truck driver is just really running late.... rar.

1. I will be attending Otakon this weekend, whee XD Haven't heard anything about it from most of you -- anyone going? ;) I've had one request on the DoA meetup thread to bring Daniel, and that seems reasonable, so he'll probably be the one to come along (unless people ask to see others, but I doubt it... I'm a non-entity on DoA these days, haha). But yeah, I'll probably be scarce on the weekend and into next week, since vvalentine is coming to visit post-con. XD

2. Partly because of #1, and I doubt I need to say this on the flist, but, please to not be spoiling HP7, thanks ;D I probly won't get to start reading until like.. next Thursday ;D Ruins my streak of frantic-Saturday-receipt-and-speedread, d'oh ;D

3. Re: this poll, damn, I'm a bit surprised to see Mara on top (bahahaha). XD That does lead to some fun ideas, but, I think I want to go ahead and make Andey's own jewelry set, and do a shoot of him and blue-elf-boy and Amadeo as the lucky bastard with both of them ;)

Hmm, I spent a couple of hours yesterday making jewelry when I should have been cleaning. Damn you, insistent inspiration! And then I realized that I might as well wait to do the inspired photoshoot, since hopefully Sev's body will arrive today. And brilliantly, I have no idea if all the crap I made will fit the new body or not. ;D Sooo we'll see how that goes. ;P

Instead of dolls, you get flowers and a bug. ;P

ETA: Since the Capitol Heights office pulled another "Of course we tried to deliver on Sunday! :D" BS stunt on me, I went home for lunch to catch the package from Luts. I am happy to report that an SD16 girl (and by extension, I hope, an SD13 boy) head fits quite well on a Senior Delf body, and the resin match is pretty good. I was worried that the Senior neck might be all weird like the Delf type 2's, but it's a perfectly normal neck and head S-hook system. My one concern about the hybrid is that the neck is a little long -- not SD13 on a Hound neck long, more like a stylized sort of long. I think I'll get used to it. Squee. XD Also, the body has locking knees YESSS 8D Pics later toniiight~

In other news, waiting impatiently for the brothers' extra eyes to arrive so I can play with them togetherrrr XO Sometimes anticipation for a specific photoshoot will prevent me from doing any other shoots until that one gets done... ~_~;

Gonna be on a short business trip until Wednesday night :3 I should still be able to pop on and check stuff, but I may be quiet for a few days. ;D I'm taking Sevris with me, in hopes of maybe getting to know him better. XD (If you missed Sev's arrival, it's here. X3)
